NZEB Half day for Site Managers

Training Course Information

All those involved in dealing with Building regulations will be required to upskill to fully understand the implication of Nzeb for Domestic and Non-Domestic clients. This half day programme brings in to sharp focus the key aspects of NZEB from a practical application and is simply a must for those involved in construction at the coal face.

Learning Outcomes

After this module participants would be expected to have a broad understanding of the way in which Near Zero Energy Building (NZEB) will affect both non-domestic and domestic construction projects in Ireland. This will allow them to identify how their site roles will be affected by design changes implemented to meet new NZEB regulations.

Module 1: Introduction

  • Energy Performance in Buildings Directive (EPBD)
  • Definitions
  • Energy Performance Coefficient (EPC)
  • Carbon Performance Coefficient (CPC)
  • Timelines and Transitional Arrangements

Module 2: Non-Domestic (TGD L 2017 Building other than Dwellings)

  • Non-Domestic Energy Assessment Procedure (NEAP)
  • Changes to EPC & CPC
  • Renewable Energy Ratio
  • Building Fabric including Insulation, Airtightness and backstop values
  • Building Services including renewable options, ventilation, etc.
  • Major Renovation Requirements

Module 3: Domestic NZEB (TBD L 2017 Dwellings)

  • Domestic Energy Assessment Procedure (DEAP)
  • Changes to EPC & CPC
  • Renewable Energy Ratio
  • Building Fabric including Insulation, Airtightness and backstop values
  • Building Services including renewable options, ventilation, etc.
  • Major Renovation Requirements

  • Testing regimes
