COURSE OUTLINE

The NZEB [Near Zero Energy Building] half day Programme is designed for individual who are involved in dealing with the Building Regulations.

The aim of the course is to upskill participants in order to fully understand the implication of NZEB for Domestic and Non-Domestic clients. This half day programme brings in to sharp focus the key aspects of NZEB from a practical application and is simply a must for those involved in construction at the coal face.

This is a half day course scheduled from 09.00hrs to 13.00hrs.

Module 1: Introduction 

  • Energy Performance in Buildings Directive (EPBD)
  • Definitions
  • Energy Performance Coefficient (EPC)
  • Carbon Performance Coefficient (CPC)
  • Timelines and Transitional Arrangements

Module 2: Non-Domestic (TGD L 2017 Building other than Dwellings)

  • Non-Domestic Energy Assessment Procedure (NEAP)
  • Changes to EPC & CPC
  • Renewable Energy Ratio
  • Building Fabric including Insulation, Air-tightness and backstop values
  • Building Services including renewable options, ventilation, etc.
  • Major Renovation Requirements

Module 3: Non-Domestic (TGD L 2017 Dwellings)

  • Domestic Energy Assessment Procedure (DEAP)
  • Changes to EPC & CPC
  • Renewable Energy Ratio
