CIF Land Management
Training Course Information
This CIF programme has been developed to assist those working on construction projects to effectively manage environmental considerations pertaining to development and use of land. This includes topics such as soil stripping, handling of excess soil and stone, identification of contaminated land and the undertaking of pre-construction site assessments. The course should assist construction site management in understanding and complying with legal obligations for land use, and industry best practice with respect to developing a land management plan.
Who is the course aimed at?
It is intended to meet the needs of site managers and supervisors in planning / managing developments cognisant of past site use, environmental and other land use considerations. Any persons with responsibilities for managing environmental, health or safety aspects would benefit from attendance.
Having completed the programme, each participant should:
- Recognise the most pertinent legislation for land use and development;
- Know how to undertake a pre-construction site assessment;
- Be able to develop a land management plan;
- Understand the requirements for handling excess soil and stone;
- Possess the tools necessary to effectively manage land use considerations.

The fee for the programme is €165 for CIF members and €215 for non-CIF members per attendee.
