Building Regulations Parts B and J – Fire Safety

Training Course Information

The course Provides attendees with an overview of the key areas and takes a first approach for residential buildings outlining how to achieve compliance with the Fire elements of the relevant sections of the current ROI Building Regulations.

The CIF played a key role in the development of the building regulations. This in depth knowledge of the building regulations is reflected in the detailed expertise delivered to those participating in the course by people who are leading authorities on all aspects of the building regulations.

The CIF programme is the only accredited Building Regulations course offered in Ireland.

Topics covered during the Building Regulations programme are:

  • Fire Safety Certificates
  • Parts B and J of the Building Regulations
  • Means of escape (TGD B)
  • Means of escape: dwelling houses
  • Linings
  • Structure
  • External fire spread
  • Fire service facilities
  • Application of Part J
  • Introduction
  • Solid fuel appliances
  • Gas and oil appliances

On attendance of the 2 days, 12 structured CPD can be recorded.

Those who take part in this single module will receive a certificate detailing they have completed the module.

The Fire Safety module can be purchased at €165 per day for CIF members and €215 for non CIF members

Daily start time is 9.00am, running to 5pm over 2 consecutive days
