Management and Inspection of Scaffolding – It’s Vital to get it Right

Working at height in the construction industry is one of the most high-risk tasks you can do, significant numbers of fatal or life-changing accidents in the workplace involve a fall from height.  That’s why using the right access equipment and making sure it’s in good condition is a vital element of working at height with scaffolding on site in safety.

Scaffolding is only a safe option if it’s been well maintained, regularly inspected and correctly erected.  Scaffolding safety is an integral part of overall site safety and there’s a legal requirement here in Ireland to comply with the relevant health and safety legislation (including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work {Construction} Regulations 2013, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work {General Applications} Regulations 2007) and the relevant H.S.A Codes of Practice.

CIF Training’s one day course on Management and Inspection of Scaffolding is aimed at site managers, foremen, project supervisors, main contractors, safety officers and others who are required to sign the weekly GA3 inspection record.  The course will provide candidates with a greater insight into inspecting, managing and scaffolding controls and operations to convey the appropriate competence in accordance with legislation. This is not a scaffold erection program.

The course is a key element in the Construction Industry Federation’s core safety training portfolio and represents an efficient and convenient way to gain critical knowledge while maintaining your CIRI CPD learning outcomes & CIRI CPD points.
