CIF’s Commercial Management in an EPCM Environment Class Available

CIF’s Commercial Management in an EPCM Environment Class AvailableCIF is offering a whole new round of courses starting in September, one of which goes over the topic of commercial management in an Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) environment class. The course caters those who are considering expanding their client base to include large multi-prime sites or multinational companies. It offers the opportunity to speak with a commercial & contracts lead who has worked with massive construction projects for both CM and clients.

The speaker for this course is Garret Murphy, who holds his MSCSI, MRICS, MCIOB, And FCIArb. Murphy has over two decades of experience and holds a degree in Construction Economics from DIT Bolton Street, a BSc from Trinity College, and many postgraduate qualifications related to contract law and dispute resolution.

This course will run one day and take place in Dublin. The participants will uncover the differences between the traditional construction environment and that of multi-prime or CM projects. The course will also cover the major responsibilities that apply under agreements and what to look out for.

Additionally, participants will learn about the bid process, expectations for the commercial management of the works, and additional duties that are expected. Commercial structures from client to trade will also be covered, as well be the management teams that are required to support projects of this calibre.

Those who are urged to attend include product directors, commercial managers, and senior surveyors who are interested in learning more about the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management (EPCM) sector; mid-large entities with a €5 million or more turnover; companies interested in working in multi-prime/EPCM sites; and anyone who is interested in tendering to the pharma, multinational, or semiconductor markets.
