Aims of the Course

With over 80% of projects using this contract, this is the most commonly used form of public sector contract and it is vital that members ensure they are well versed in its unique characteristics.

The Short Form of Contract (PW-CF6), which is utilised for public sector contracts valued at below €500,000, differs in many aspects from the Major and Minor Works Contracts (PW-CF1 – PW-CF5), and this course is designed to explain its operation to members.

Objectives

On completion of this course, participants will have a practical insight into the operation of the Short Form of Public Works Contract and will have a clear understanding of best practice in this area.

Cancellation Policy:

7 – 10 working days’ notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee. 6 working days’ notice or less will incur a 100% cancellation fee. A ‘no show’ on the day also incurs a 100% cancellation fee. Substitute delegates are permitted on all courses provided entry requirements are adhered to. CIF reserves the right to cancel course dates in the event of insufficient enrolments.
